Seattle Juvenile Lawyer

King County Juvenile Dependency Attorney

Juvenile law encompasses emotional and complicated legal matters that can tear families apart. As a lawyer with more than 30 years of experience dedicated to juvenile matters, I understand the importance of approaching cases in a balanced, holistic manner.

Most attorneys do not recognize the fine balance between family law matters and juvenile law matters. I understand how both areas of the law affect each other. I believe my family law experience helps me evaluate dependency issues, while knowing how to handle families in crisis helps me handle divorce cases.

Tough Issues

At the Seattle office of Ken Bromet, Attorney at Law, my extensive legal career has focused on family issues within the juvenile court and family court systems. As a dedicated Seattle juvenile attorney, I leverage my background when handling complex matters. My law practice extends to advising parents about placing their children in facilities — treatment and otherwise — outside of the family home, and various resources available to deal with problem children while the children are in the family home.

I provide guidance when Child Protective Services gets involved in my clients' lives. These serious situations often involve abuse and neglect. I work closely with clients to ensure counseling and other court-ordered directives are followed to the letter. I am committed to helping families in crisis get through their legal issues and start on the road to healing. The first step of healing is often getting the children home as soon as possible.

Family Influences

When appropriate, I try to involve family members in juvie cases. In some juvenile criminal defense cases, having the support of one or both parents can be beneficial at sentencing and other aspects of a case. I also understand that family involvement may not be the right option for every client. I will discuss this with my client, whether it is you or your child, to determine the best course of action. I provide detailed information to help clients make informed decisions at every stage of their case.
