Seattle Family And Juvenile Law Attorney

If you face divorce or another family law matter, or if your child faces criminal charges, it's understandable if you are feeling stressed and uncertain about the future. The surest solution to relieving that stress and resolving the uncertainty is to retain the services of an experienced lawyer who can answer your questions, advocate on your behalf and put you and the rest of your family in the best possible position to carry on with your lives.

I am Seattle-based attorney Kenneth F. Bromet, a family law practitioner who also has extensive experience representing juveniles and their families in a wide array of juvenile law. In addition to representing juveniles who face criminal charges, I assist adults who seek to expunge criminal convictions that they received either in juvenile court or as adults.

I also help clients plan their future and care for loved ones by preparing comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other life-planning tools.

Straight Talk And Strong Advocacy

I have represented residents throughout King County and beyond since 1977. I'm a big believer in candid conversation as a means to keep my clients informed and produce positive results. I take the "counsel" portion of "legal counsel" literally by helping my clients understand all of their options and moving toward a positive resolution.

Often, both parties involved in a family law dispute are concerned about how the matter will impact their children and their role as parents. I strive to minimize conflict through effective negotiation while ensuring that my clients' rights are protected.

My nearly four decades of experience allow me to analyze the unique aspects of each case and develop an effective legal strategy that will achieve your goals. Are you uncertain about what goals to set or what is realistic? That's where our frank discussions come in. I will take as much time as you need to talk through your options and help you get a sense of what to expect.

Beyond Basic Juvenile Law

My juvenile legal practice extends beyond delinquency matters. I have extensive experience representing parents (and children) in dependency actions in which the Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) or Child Protective Services (CPS) is involved due to allegations of abuse or neglect. I also provide extensive guidance and diligent representation for families in crisis where the problems are the issues between family members. In Washington, these areas are often referred to as At-Risk Youth and Child in Need of Services (CHINS). I work with children to empower them to prevent their own future delinquency issues and keep their most important resource — the family — intact and functioning as smoothly as possible.

I welcome the opportunity to answer your questions and review the facts of your case during a free, no-obligation consultation. Contact me to schedule an appointment at my Eastlake office, which has ample free street parking.
